Top Breakfast Spots Along the Grand Strand

Dayton House is in the heart of Myrtle Beach which allows them to have access to many places to eat.  But, when it comes to breakfast, why not try some of the local favorites.  Of course, make sure to join the breakfast bounty here at Dayton House first.  But, when you want to try something different, check out these great options.

Johnny D’s Waffles and Benedicts

As the name implies, the focus at this breakfast joint located on North Kings Highway less than a mile from Dayton House Resort is on its waffles, which are homemade and cooked to order Belgian-style. Unique waffle options here include (just to name a few) the Old-Fashioned Waffle with cinnamon and sugar, the Cinnaroll Waffle with cinnamon sauce swirled in and cream cheese icing on top, and the Banana Split Waffle topped with bananas, ice cream and chocolate sauce. Lulu’s Cafe

Known for its pink neon sign, the giant and colorful beach-scene mural adorning its building, and the tasty American fare it serves up, this eclectic diner found on North Ocean Boulevard (less that a mile south of Dayton House Resort) in downtown Myrtle Beach is a locals’ favorite for good reason. It lands on this list because it serves breakfast dishes all day long, so visitors here can enjoy scrambles, Benedicts, pancakes, waffles and the like whenever they choose (during business hours, of course). Eggs Up Grill

With a pair of locations in Myrtle Beach (one just a couple miles inland from Dayton House) and another pair in North Myrtle Beach, this eatery serves up homemade breakfast flavors all day long. Located on North Kings Highway about 5 miles north of Dayton House, the creative menu items at Blueberry’s Grill have been delighting native Grand Stranders and visitors alike since its 2017 founding. The served-all-day breakfast options here include fancy favorites like the Wild Smoked Salmon Croissant and the Country Benedict with fried green tomatoes, poached eggs, applewood smoked bacon and hollandaise sauce. The House of Blues Gospel Brunch

Served every Sunday at famed Barefoot Landing entertainment venue the House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach, this morning (or midday) meal combines soul food and the soulful sounds of inspirational gospel music. The pairing delivers an amazing live gospel show accompanied by an all-you-can-eat Southern-style buffet spread featuring carving stations and house specials such as jambalaya, fried chicken and waffles, and pulled-pork barbecue.
