Plan your End of Summer Celebration Here in Myrtle Beach

Head to Dayton House Resort and start your back to school with one last long weekend before you are running around to different sports, recitals, and lessons.  The kids and you deserve to hang out on the oceanfront pools, relax in the South Carolina sun as you hope the day stays paused and you can relish at the moment.

Here at the resort, you can float away in the lazy river, pack a picnic lunch and enjoy oceanfront as there are many yellow umbrellas with picnic tables for everyone to enjoy.  Catch a wave, walk on the beach or even read a book as the sun rejuvenates your soul.  If you are looking for a little adventure outside the resort, here is a list of events or festivals you might want to attend.

Beach, Boogie, and BBQ:  Head to The Market Commons and get ready to savor the flavor of the many BBQ vendors that are competing for best BBQ on the beach.  Enjoy arts and craft vendors as you might find that perfect gift, head to the wine and beer garden as you listen to the live music.  This can be a fun-filled day or even head back for day two, as you enjoy the sights and sounds of the BBQ.

Fireworks:  This is the last weekend for many of the area's hotspots!  Barefoot Landing, Broadway at the Beach and the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, are celebrating the end of summer with a spectacular show.

Outdoor Concerts:  The Boathouse has one of the best backyards for outdoor concerts right on the Intracoastal Waterway.  They will end their Summer Concert Series with a performance by alternative reggae band The Movement on Sunday, September 2. The show begins at 5 p.m.

Waterparks:  Also, saying goodbye to summer are the three area waterparks, Myrtle Waves, Wild Water and Wheels and Splashes Water Park.  Labor Day ends the summer season, so make sure if you are looking for some water fun, make your plans to hit these attractions before you have to wait until the summer of 2019.

It is crazy thinking summer is almost over, but don't be sad, make plans today to celebrate the memories made and of course, start planning your 2019 stay at Dayton House Resort.
