The Symphony of the Strand Performs Bravo Broadway

Bravo Broadway is a musical theater spectacular featuring classics from Broadway hits through the decades. The show features returning performers Capathia Jenkins and Hugh Panaro, who, joined by newcomer Morgan James, will sing songs you know and love from your favorite musicals.

You might recognize these fabulous performers from their outstanding Broadway biographies.

Jenkins, whose performance in (mis)Understanding Mammy earned her a nomination for the Drama Desk Award, has most recently starred as Medda in the Broadway production of Disney’s Newsies.

Panaro is a bona fide Broadway star who is known for his long-standing roles as the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera and Jean Valjean in Les Misérables, a performance for which he won the Barrymore Award. He was also honored as a winner of the prestigious Edwin Forrest Award for outstanding contribution to American theater in 2012.

James is a rising vocal star who has recently appeared in Jesus Christ Superstar. She has also released Hunter, a full-length album featuring her own arrangements and performances, and she will be going on tour with her band this coming spring!

Bravo Broadway is part of the Classical Concerts series produced by The Long Bay Symphony, a world-class professional symphony based in Myrtle Beach. With new shows and special events going on all year long, the symphony’s performances alone are worth a weekend at the beach in any season!

Bravo Broadway is a fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Myrtle Beach. To date, this annual show has raised over $150,000 to support the Rotary Club’s charitable causes.
