Check out the Top Five Myrtle Beach Burger Joints

We have all asked this question at least once in our life, “Where do I go for a really good cheeseburger?”  We decided to help you out.

Everyone loves a great burger and why not enjoy one or two, on your next trip to the beach.   As a guest at the Dayton House Resort, we compiled a list of the top burger joints for you to try with your family during your next stay.  Whether you like handcrafted, flamed grill or on the griddle, we have just the spots for you.

Art Burger Sushi Bar – Located downtown just off the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and just a few minutes south of Dayton House Resort is a very unique spin on your everyday burger.  As you enter the restaurant you notice that the walls are adorned by work by local artists and the food here is considered art as well.  The menu focuses on burgers and sushi, as the name suggests, and each delicious burger is named after something artsy like The Dali (ground beef patty, fried pickles, avocado ranch, lettuce, and tomato), the Da Vinci (falafel veggie burger with hummus, tabbouleh, and goddess dressing), the Carvaggio (ground lamb, cucumber tzatziki, lettuce and tomato on pita bread), and many other unique options.  Make sure to stop in and enjoy the art both on the walls and on your table

River City Café – Several different locations throughout the Grand Strand, with the closest for our Dayton House guests would be on 21st Avenue within a short walking distance.  River City has been a locals favorite for burgers that swerves up a variety of options like the traditional cheeseburger, to a twist on the peanut Butter Burger and even a crunchy Nacho Burger.  Enjoy one of these famous burgers with hand cut fries and delicious homemade slaws.  Very casual and fun environment that you can come right off the beach and enjoy.

Beach House Bar & Grill – located in downtown Myrtle Beach and only a few short blocks from The Dayton House Resort, is the funky and fun Beach House Bar & Grill.  One of the best features besides the food is their outdoor location right on Ocean Boulevard.  Hang out there and enjoy the sights and sounds as you sink your teeth into a juicy signature burger.  Some of their specialties are the Chili Cheeseburger, Philly Cheese Steak burger or try the Southwest Burger, with so many options; you are guaranteed to find your favorite.

Peaches Corner – located in the heart of the downtown area of Myrtle Beach and also right off the Boardwalk is Peaches Corner.  They have been around since 1937 and have been on Flip My Food.  This diner is very casual and reminds you of the restaurants of yesterday.  Sit at the counter and order one of their famous burgers like the Peaches Burger, the Bacon Cheeseburger and the Burger Basket add the side of fries or try a foot long hot dog, you won’t go wrong with a choice here and the atmosphere will bring a smile to everyone in your group.

Burky’s Grill - Located at 39th Avenue in the Village Square Shopping Center, right off Kings Highway, is Burky’s Grill, a nostalgic soda fountain diner from the 1950’s.  Their hamburgers are served hot off the grill, extra juicy and very delicious.  This is amongst local’s favorites for lunch and dinner.  After a delicious hamburger or cheeseburger, enjoy an ice cream treat the entire family will love.

As you can see there are so many options to feed that inner burger inside of you.  No Myrtle Beach vacation is complete until you have tried one of our tasty burger joints.  Grab your friends and family after a relaxing day at Dayton House Resort’s oceanfront lawn and pools and head out for a burger just the way you like.
